I'm offering this up here before I put it on e-bay.
This is a rarely used (just for testing) fully assembled and tested Ramsey FM100B. It works extremely well (it sounds almost as good as my Decade MS-100, which I consider the gold standard in micro powered FM transmitters), in both stereo and mono modes and cosmetically is close to pristine. It has a built-in AC power supply, and it is well filtered as the output is hum free.
It's the low powered version, which is rated at 10mw output. However, as we all know, it's field strength that matters for legal purposes, not output power (which from the manufacturers is suspect, to say the least). With its built-in telescopic antenna fully extended, this transmitter doesn't get the range that my Industry Canada certified Decade gets (maybe 60-70%). So it would be legal to use in Canada from the field strength perspective. It does, however, get more range than the FCC would allow, at least with that antenna at full length - it is possible to significantly reduce that range by reducing the length of the antenna to get within FCC guidelines and thus be able to be legally used in the U.S.
Plus, it has a BNC antenna jack on the back for those countries in which it is legal to have greater field strength, either by adding an external antenna and/or an amplifier.
I'm asking $200 plus shipping (within Canada, probably about $20, to the U.S. around $25, more to other countries, please inquire). If I don't get any interest, I will be putting it up for auction this coming Sunday on e-bay.
Sold on e-bay.
