courtesy of a forum member (not Mr. Tommy J.) i have a LPB TCU-30 (there was a small cost including shipping involved in it) on it's way and should be here monday and thanks to a member of another forum i have a 1RU triple RX Deck to go with my EAS EnDec. 1 FM, 1 AM, 1 WX will be pre programmed for my LP-1, LP-2 and Aux. it was given to me for cost of shipping.
got my tuner few days back and got my Rx Deck today. now just need to build, or buy an AM linear to take 100mW and bring it to at least 5 watts and we will be cooking
I counted five.
This is exciting, kc8gpd, because I will enjoy reading about your experiences with carrier current and the building of your radio stations.
All this carrier current activity in recent times might cause some kind of new response from the supply sector. Maybe the availability of this kind of equipment will return to the great old days when we didn't need to scrape and scavenge.
Don't know about the supply sector, but as far as the technical help and resourcing, that exists right here right now with yours truly...and I gladly answer questions anytime, anywhere and don't fill the basket with bad apples or post from behind curtains.

I was only talking about the supply sector. Equipment will be needed to grow the CC art, and now is a good time precisely because we are fortunate in having a member with the experience and the will to help.
If it hadn't been for RFB, I'd still be sitting here with un-used surplus relics.
As it is, the CC station is under development and mysteries of the AC system are being studied.
Well at this point, it seems the solution is to create a new supply source. Perhaps a joint venture between existing CC operators to build this new supply source.
Plenty out there to reference from to build new designs and also provide service and technical guidance to existing systems.
These days it is necessary to create what is needed rather than sit around waiting for someone else to do it, or make others wait till no telling when.
There is enough qualified people here alone that could make the venture work. And it doesn't have to be limited to just CC systems either.
It's a matter of how bad is it needed, is there a decent market for it, and is there enough demand within that market to sustain the venture.
Our particular section of the radio world is a very tiny fraction of the whole, so knowing that fact the new venture would have to be constructed around that tiny fraction and make the most of it. Stick with it, follow through with it, and directly interact with not just customers via private channels, but also in the open public realm anywhere it can be interacted with...ie good PR department not afraid to stand by and speak for the product or service.
I'm all for it...anyone else?
