I can't even use 1610 let alone 1600, both spanish stations on them that for some reason or another blast through the mountains almost like a local. Shame too, my start in part 15 radio was and had always been on 1610.

In Reply 26 a person asked:  ... How many FCC actions against Part 15 operators on 1710? ...

Not zero.

A quick Google for "fcc nouo 1710 khz" returned a page with this link near the top:

http://part15lab.blogspot.com/2014/04/nouo-notices-of-unlicensed-operation.html

Transmitter power is never shown in an FCC NOUO, but surprisingly high radiated fields are possible from a MW transmitter operating with 100 mW d-c input power to the final r-f stage when using an antenna system with a radiating length of greater than 3 meters.

For example, a 1710 kHz transmitter with 50 mW applied to its loading coil, using an 8-meter vertical radiator driven against an 8' ground rod can produce a field of about 150 µV/m at a horizontal distance of 1 km (5 mS/m earth).  At 1/2 km (0.31 miles) that field would be about 350 µV/m.

PS:  I have no connection whatsoever to that website.

This must be your artwork as I know you wouldn't post it, otherwise.  Humorous.

I didn't know you were cartoonist.

Meanwhile in other news, rioting breaks out and less than ordinary citizens are in zombie like states, eating faces. More tonight on NBC Nightly Snooze.

We'll gloss over the word snide and deal in facts.

I am a cartoonist.

The FCC Cop Cartoon is not my work.

Have morningDJ on standby.

Way to go Carl, the thing is, being a follower, of rules, is easy, anyone can read some facts, make a claim and then feel like a pillar of knowledge in a world that often seems like it's in chaos. There's no creativity involved, however, trolling can be art form.

Amazing that 1710 has a Wikipedia page of its own, who would have thought a frequency itself would have one!

Mr. Bucket, I've heard those stations on 1610 too, Canada and Mexico I think. What about in daytime? I used to covet the 1610 frequency too, it seemed perfect for low power radio, and the Talking Houses in this area always seemed to use it.

"wdcx" posted:  ... I happen to like the name Druid Hills Radio AM 1710. It is more desirable than WDCX which could be confused with a licensed station. The maximum range on the map is nowhere near a mile. It's about 800 feet. The transmitter is a Rangemaster operating on 1610.  You should be happy to know that it's turned off. ...

No problem with any of that, sir.  And thanks, but my happiness is independent of how, or even if you operate an unlicensed AM and/or FM transmit system.

But your clip above from your recent post here stating that you use 1610 kHz doesn't correlate with a Facebook page attributed to you that (as of a few minutes ago) shows specifically that you are operating on 1710 kHz.

MrBruce Responds with:

I often say, be carefull what you post on line, but it can and will be used against you when you least expect it.

I am not saying Druid Hills is doing anything wrong or that he should be the subject of a non-compliance accusation, but it still makes much sense, that anything you post on line, can and will meet with those who agree and those who do not agree with it,

Those who disagree, can be your worst enemy when you least expect it.

I  am speaking from my own personal experience and know it all to well.

But on the other hand, slightly off topic here, but the FCC, when they do a NAL or NOUO, they use every resource possible, even Facebook pages, web site materials, as proof that a person or person's knew the rules and blanatly broke them based on evidence they find on the person or persons they are issuing those documents to.

The web is like a paper trail leading right to you.

Bruce.

Thanks Rich for the update on my FB page.  Since you are a verse and chapter guy you should know 15.209 by now. Operation if I chose to is legal.

The Tampa Enforcement Office is minutes away. Give them a call. I did have a fellow Part 15 operator snoop me out. It was Ermi Roos. He heard me on 1610. Rich now has been suckered 3 times. Lol! Thank God we have our own enforcment here on Part 15.

Now go back to micro picking Carl.

Note that proven facts speak for themselves, regardless of what some of their readers might claim after reading them.

About what did he "snoop" you out?

And if it was/is true that you operate on 1610 kHz, then why do you continue to identify yourself online to this day (11 Sept 2016) as operating on 1710 kHz?
