Well, after reading that, it sounds like budget cuts resulting in decreasing enforcement personel, thus they are focusing on areas they can guarantee results.  But, I would also venture that there will be more forfeture calls, since they are "going after known or repeat" offenders  (my wording).

I would also venture since they are going to push/rely on local sources/legislation(?) more, we will see confusion regarding legal part 15 users.   I know the Chief of Police and Sheriff here fairly well, so I have a door to educate them if it arises.

I already had someone ask me how my "pirate" station was going.  I informed them that it was a legal part 15 station.   I also informed them that many devices they use every day fell under the same or similar rules regarding radio transmissions...  I got a blank stare.

I think education is the key.  Many people jump to conclusions regarding many things they are not informed about.  Radio is one of them..

Okay, now I am really, really confused here. One, thanking themselves, for creating a thread (Topic), really has me concerned here. Not to mention various other posts in various other threads posting [log in to view link], makes me even more concerned here.

Really John, what gives with you lately?

Bruce.

I think it's called humour.

Really, sometimes I think we take ourselves a little too seriously here.  I do like Tim's response.

I understood John's gratitude right away... I join him in thanking him for the link, we are all curious about what the FCC is planning to do, since any one of us might be falsely acused of piracy.

Thank me for pointing it out. And thank Tim, MrBruce, Artisan and everybody.

Okay my fault, no one told me it was Thanksgiving Day.

I have to throw my calender away, it IS truely a defective model.

Now I thank me for me and those who also thank me for me.

Bruce.

Thanks John so I could post The New Radio Revolution's stance on this. I also want to thank Mark too because he has some of the ideas we all at The New Radio Revolution has been talking about since June 5th 2015. Thanks to John we can wake up the pulic and this clear up some of the blatant untrue statements about Hobby Broadcasting. Ones like Hobby Radio broadcasters won't broadcast emergencies and even could block emergency communications is a slippery slope to the demise of Hobby Broadcasting. So to tolerate blatant misinformation and blanket statements is something that we all need to address. When people hide links they're helping to stomp out Hobby Broadcasting.

Reading between the lines is important. Here is one however I do like. It talks about High Powered Pirates and ones that play advertisements. But what us unclear is what they consider High Power. My idea and their idea is something that could be different. Mine is anything over 5-7 Watts. Theirs could be anything over 1 mW. So we really need a clarification here (not that it may matter to some) but could help with our efforts in raising the bar a bit.

Good Grief, everytime I see that word "BLATANT" I can only think of ONE person and that too many people carry on his use of the word PIRATE, often preceeded by the word "BLATANT"

I guess a lot of people like the way he talks, so they carry on his legacy.

And, no, I am not refering to Troy, also known here, as TheLegacy.

Here is what I'd like to get most people to understand. We are simply this hobby micro broadcasters. That is what we should be referred to as. In order to get anything changed we have to get people to understand what it is that we really are and what we represent. But there are certain people on other sites which I won't call out names that are not helping the cause if anything they're detrimental against it.

what we really should what we really should be referred to as micro broadcasters or Hobby micro broadcasters. In order to get change we need to have a salad statement that the public can understand Us by. Also there are some people on certain sites who I won't call names but you know who you are as far as I'm concerned you're not helping the matter. Doing things such as making public information on accessible and calling out names such as pirate and other defamatory names is detrimental against the hobby. Unless someone is causing harmful interference I don't consider them as a pirate. The way the FCC makes the rules right now does not allow much for individuals to broadcast. Hopefully this will be about to change. But we must and I repeat we must stick together.

Part15us is full of hicups lately, I am seeing a lot of muti posts when I am sure the poster only posted a post ONCE.

HICUP!!!!!

I personaly HATE that word BLATANT, can we all agree to stop using it here? I mean, I really can only think of ONE person everytime someone here uses that word and that person is COUNTER PRODUCTIVE to say the least!

Let that word stay where it best belongs, with mr. Anti-Everything who does not like anything or anyone who or does not suit his needs.

Bruce.
