Equipment Donations: I might be working with a non profit to help them first build a professional part 15 station / internet station, then if it works out and their is a growing sustainable interest a licensed fm service. they have expressed an interest in having a broadcasting school added to their job training programs to which i could possibly heading. my question is,,,,
if they are interested in this (and it gets approved by the staff and membership) and you could get a tax write off for it would any of you be interested in donating equipment to the program to help them start this.
if they go for it and it passes the membership they would need everything from microphones, to computers, on air boards, studio furniture, automation and audition computers, processing, leaky coax, antenna's, EAS, modulation monitoring, etc, i mean everything they would be starting from total scratch. i can take a professional exciter and modify it for part 15 and set it for proper levels if need be.
they are a denver colorado area 501c3 non profit and everything is tax deductible
i am only presently testing the waters right now to see how feasible this is should they decide to go ahead with it.

i will make a list of interested donors to present to them.

In the 80s I was involved with a public radio station and contacted several commercial radio and tv stations looking for equipment donations, and very easily collected several audio consoles and tape decks.
Trouble is the donated equipment all needed to be cleaned up, repaired and installed, and I did not have time to do it nor could I find technically competent people to work for free, so the equipment was never used.
