As I talked to A-Train and posted some information that I got from a Broadcast Engineer of a Licensed station that there are several stations that are blatantly going WELL OVER THE LIMIT!! One station is only supposed to transmit 9700 Watts at night. Yet this engineer knows that the station is blatantly going over the night time power limit by 40,000 Watts. A search of the FCC Database indicates that NO AM station with a 50KW/4.7KW power authorization exists in Florida. Maybe WPOM with 5KW/4.7KW in Riviera Beach?

An ENGINEER of a LICENSED station who wishes to remain anonymous. He did give The New Radio Revolution this info to help us hammer a iron clad case. We'll be working on cases where engineers will stand up and voice the facts.

I also think that the argument you're putting forth is fallacious. In fact, if this information is true, it even supports the statement that hobbyists will always want more power and range - isn't that what this licensed station is supposedly doing?
WBOB is a typical talk station. Also, the staion operates a directional array. If they were running 50KW at night and not changing the pattern, they would be stepping all over lower power staions around the lower 48. There would not be an anonymous engineer as there would be visits from the FCC. I am not sure what events they would be keeping the power up at night based on the schedule below:
