anyone have some quick start settings for the DSP1400P for Broadcast?
it will be a preperation processor after the EAS but before everything else.
i know i have settings somewhere for the DSP9024 but i could not locate recommended broadcast setting for the DSP1400P.
i have heard the 1400/1424 processors work wonders when set right and put ahead of a DSP9024 but just need some recommended get started settings.
manual is great at explaining each function but does not contain some recommended settings to start out with.
never mind, it was hard to find but i found a basic starting point as far as broadcast settings for both the 9024 and 1400 on an audio forum. it is sounding good so far.
I have both the Behringer DSP9024 and DSP1424P processors. I have tried both configurations of the DSP9024 feeding into the DSP1424P and vice-versa.
I have recently discovered my FM transmitter is set to 50 us pre-emphasis and have concluded that most of my audio issues are related to that pre-emphasis issue.
I realize you have the DSP1400, I, like you have searched for other people's settings and have created a text file listing those settings.
I do notice an increase in audio level when the DSP9024 is in line processing the audio, I have dropped the DSP1424P out of line for now, because I was trying to get one sounding good before I added the other, which would have made the settings more complicated to get right.
I am trying to figure out what resistor/capacitor combination is needed to get that BH1414K http://pira.cz/pdf/bh1414k.pdf chip to 75 us pre-emphasis.
I can email anyone those text files, which includes various different settings for the DSP9024 multi-band processor which is easier then copying and pasting the text here with the columns being all out of wack do to the page coding.
Contact me at [email protected] and request those text files from me.
Bruce.
kc8gpd was my first and only email request for the various settings that I have gathered for the DSP9024 and DSP1400/DSP1424P settings/combinations that were published by other people on the web, in some cases a few were published on web sites over seas.
I am curious if those settings were at all useful for you kc8gpd?
Bruce.
