Robert, kc8gpd, and also Artisan, who has a "for sale" thread nearby...

I got to thinking about how at other times equipment has sold right away.

I am wondering if right now in the eye of the holiday might not be the best time to look for buyers.

I have noticed that all the websites and public radio stations that count on donations have their fund drives now, the retailers are having sales galore, and in many parts of the country real estate taxes are due.

Today at the grocery parking lot a guy wanted a handout... he said, "I just got layed off this morning and need a few bucks to buy food for my son."

That seemed very odd, Monday morning is a strange time to be layed off, and even if he still had the job, payday wouldn't come until later in the week... so how could he be out of cash so fast? It didn't matter because I had nothing to give him.

Every year I think about taking my giant library of international Christmas albums to sell at the second-hand record store but I should probably do that in October and not the day before Christmas.

The ALPB might have some tips.

Help put me over the top towards getting my 1962 schuco Disney land blue mark ii monorail. I'm willing to make some great deals and deep discounts on most my equipment. I need to make about 300 more.

Thanks
