Click the link- http://www.ustream.tv/channel/92-9-fm-free-pirate-radio-in-studio-cam to hear us live right now! It's Art Bell all day on WHAR, until 6:30 when I go on to spin some "All American" tunes until 8:45 when I gotta go to the ALPB meeting:)
I'm going to try to figure out how to listen to WHAR without messing up my three KDX streams.
Being a broadcaster makes listening to other stations difficult, but it can be done, and I want to do it!
You've got a potential listener out here.
I bought a nice little sound card from Amazon so I could run NextKast through my SainSonic AX-05B and keep the volume the same for that while I check out other tunes to add for my station. I can Download and listen from Amazon, iTunes, listen to other internet Radio stations all without interfering with the FM Transmitter. The Sound card is a Sabrent Aluminum USB sound card. With shipping and everythig the total cost was $16. It may be the way to go for you.
Good plan TheLegacy, having a second sound card opens a lot of doors.
I've been running cheap with the built-in motherboard audio DSP which does have two stereo channels, but it's so easy to do something wrong and mess up the air-channel.
Having an extra sound card would get the background activity more separate from the air streams.
Also, it's probably about time to get a backup computer, this one has seen a few years go by.
We need more, more more.
We don't have enough, enough, enough.
