Here is an experimentors FM transmitter PC board.  Only 2 hours left on the Ebay listing.

The seller claims FCC certification for Part 15.  $17 bucks with shipping:

It's not too late after all, now there are 12 of them available and a link to the schematic, which is labeled "Wholehouse Transmitter."

The limited frequency range of this item (106.7 - 107.9) would be no good for me, as the highest opening in my area is 106.3.

A view of the certification testing on the FCC OET site shows that this unit was tested in an enclosure with an internal loop antenna and battery power. As shown on the ebay photos, there is a different antenna installed, no enclosure, no labeling, and the statement that various power supplies can be used.

Might be fun to play with but I wouldn't count on it being certified.

I got one of these from a past ebay offer.

It transmits a good signal from the dining room
to the kitchen. (About 20 feet?) The audio and stereo
separation seem to be good. The signal strength
seems to be in the Part 15.239 range.

It's a good "house-caster," and for that - I like
it very much. Not knowing it's spectral output,
I have confined the signal to indoors. That's
absolutely correct - it only operates from
106.7 to 107.9 MHz. 107.5 is empty here,
so I that that channel.

I've used it a couple of times. And now I can't
find it. It's around here somewhere.

Each one was different. Neither one was on frequency. L1 needed to be tweeked and it was a PITA to get them perfect!

Antenna wire length messes with 'um too. It's best to use ~4-6" of wire only and re-tweek to frequency. They aren't very stable but if used in a fixed situation and adjusted, they ain't too bad..

20' is about the max range for best quality. Not a bad toy to play with..

I used a LM7805 regulator for the power from my 12 v.d.c. house supply..

I trashed them both and got a Ramsey FM 25b..
