Hi Guys,
First let me clarify the problem is not with the Rangemaster.
I recently changed to a Media Center PC from HP with a built in sound card. I am feeding audio from the Speaker/Headphone Out (Green Jack) through the Rangemaster provided impedance matching board that takes line-level (RCA IN) and converst to 600 Ohms out to properly match the audio in on the transmitter.
The audio level on the Rangmaster is wide open as in past configurations and I'm adjusting from the studio side.
Now for the problem: Now matter what the level out of the PC the audio distorted and lacking in fidelity. A chat with Keith indicates an impedance mismatch which I truly understand to be the case.
However, I cannot for the life of me figure a way to overcome this problem. I am looking to experts on this.
Thanks, John
Mine has the 1/8" stereo input jack built on to it. I connect a Walkman to it and it works fine..
Look under the black shrink wrap at the edge of the board and see if it's under there. I connected directly to my laptop and all was good..
TNX 12vman,
I'll take a look. I did not see the second jack on the 600 ohm end as depeicted in the drawings on the Rangemaster site. I am at work now. How embarrassing if it's there. LOL!!
