My first scope was the ubiquitus Eico 460 in 1965 which my Dad gave me for my 15th birthday. Two years ago I came across a non-working Eico 460S which appears to be the solid state replacement for the old 460 (for details see http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/eico_oscilloscope_460s.html). Alas, I can find no mention of the 460S anywhere and cannot find a schematic. A year later I picked up a second one on ebay. At least it produces a trace but needs a lot of work.
Now I'm on a quest to restore my 460S scopes and discover their history.
The pair of 460S scopes sit beside my Eico 450 - another orphan without a schematic and no mention of it anywhere (see http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/eico_oscilloscope_push_pull_450.html).
I wonder if I have the only Eico 460S and 450 scopes left on the planet.
Anybody ever used, seen or heard of these two old boat anchors?
Thanks,
DrB
I just found the tube version manual of the Eico 460. I will keep looking for the transistor version 460S.

I cant fing anything either, but if you scroll down to the last post on this page: https://forum.allaboutcircuits.com/showthread.php?t=31144&page=4 a senior member by the name of VoodooMojo said the following:
"I collect, restore, and give out to aspiring youth old scopes with new life.
The old Eico 460s are still a hit. Hard to believe."
Maybe you could try contacting him?
I am a physics teacher and while going through my supply closet found a Eico 460S, with a note on it saying it may be broken. I would like to find a manual, so that I could test it, and maybe use it. Were you able to find a manual?
Try the BAMA site mentioned in post #2. I have found many a manual there and they are free to download.
