Do we have "Part 15 listeners" in this forum?? Specially for them (AM listeners) :  http://www.mds975.co.uk/Content/aerials1.html

Rob,

Nice link and thanks for posting.

I built a loop antenna some while back as a simple field strength meter. It was untuned and was connected to a diode, capacitor, and meter so I could check the near field of my station. It worked, it was fun, and it has been gathering dust ever since.

But, a few weeks ago I dusted it and attached a capacitor to resonate with the loop at 60 kHz. My purpose was to allow my "Atomic Clock" which is supposed to receive the signal from the NIST but never did very well to work again. I placed the clock near the loop and the signal captured by the loop is sensed by the clock and it now works to sync with NIST time.

The article you linked should be of interest to anyone who wants to capture weak signals.
