Wanted to write this up now before I forget.
At this evening's ALPB teamspeak meeting, I receieved incredible help from Johnny C, TheLeagacy, MRAM, Carl KDX Blare and many others, with getting EDCAST set up so that I can have music titles on my listen2myradio stream. I had no clue how to do it, but with the immense help I got, it's up and running beauitifully.
The ALPB is truly a haven for help, trust, and friendship for radio hobbysists and experimenters. You've proven that time and time again, and we can only move upwards from here! Thank you so much.

Every meeting an ALPB member gets helped with something they have been working on.
We should go back through the minutes and keep track of all the times members have helped members.
I myself usually pick up things at each meeting that are helpful.
Last night, Monday evening, while tracking electrical storms between here and there, I noticed that the ALPB Forum site was coming up as a blank page.
Today it is completely offline and nothing has appeared on Huffington Post or USA Today about whatever happened to it.
That is why we are launching Operation Website Search and you are deputized to scout around and find out what's going on.

Huh, oh yeah! The site is indeed offline over here at the WHAR-FM command center. I'll give MRAM a text, and see his take on it.
I happened to see your post over at The Initiative about how you'd like a better Winamp that gave some of the features of Zara.
I may have the dream answer to your problem.
My setup is Zara output to Virtual Cable connected to LineIn Plugin, a Winamp add on, giving all the DSP features of Winamp, and I use Altacast DSP Encoder driving Icecast2, although it would also work to a Shoutcast Server.
What I have found is that Altacast DSP Plugin is better than Edcast Plugin, but Edcast Standalone is better than Altacast Standalone.
And I have StereoTool.
This is the streaming system I will present when we do the Seminar on Radio Streaming at the ALPB meetings.
I can give you an advance blueprint once I get it worked out.
I was able to get the zara radio 1.4.4 version on to the WHAR-FM main station computer. I also want to thank Johnny C again for introducing me to edcast standalone. I like it a lot and do not plan on changing my internet streaming program.
Anyway, I think I understand what you're describing carl. Your audio goes from zara radio, to the winamp linein pluging, which goes through the stereo tool DSP. Sounds pretty easy actually! Correct me if I'm wrong though
Atrain gets its it right away: "I think I understand what you're describing carl. Your audio goes from zara radio, to the winamp linein pluging, which goes through the stereo tool DSP. Sounds pretty easy actually!"
That's it! And it works solidly!
So I have zara running through the cable output and winamp recognizes the linein plugin, and i have it taking the audio from the cable, but no audio is playing.
Got it to work! So stoked! Thanks Carl!
Atrain comes through like gangbusters: "Got it to work! So stoked! Thanks Carl!"
That is fast work! You must be good at what you do!
For several days the main website of ALPB has been unreachable.
This morning we discovered that the ALPB Forums can be reached by a direct address.
We do not know why the ALPB Main Site is down.
The ALPB will be moving back to the Part15 server soon. In preparation for the move the Domain Name Server addresses were recently updated with GoDaddy. This may have affected the forwarding to the temporary website host server.
I will check the status of the forwarding which has to remain until all of The ALPB files have been transferred to the Part15 server.
Well, not making much headway putting The ALPB website on the new server and having the "thealpb.com" resolved properly.
As a result, I have re-established "forwarding" to my private web host for the time being.
Thanks for your patience.
