American Sunrise
Anyone know if Wyatt Cox has ceased production of his American Sunrise program? The download page is no longer being updated and sent emails but no response.
Something must be wrong. Wyatt usually returns email pretty promptly. I carry American Sunrise also and was surprised when it wasn't on the download site yesterday.
OK, what happened? Why was the show dark from Friday, March 18 until
Friday, March 25....
To be honest, it's hard to esxplain as I really don't know everything
myself. As most of you know, being a one-man shop and handling all
the show duties, from pre-productions to final distribution to
stations, when I'm not at my best, things tend to not happen.
Thursday morning around 9am Simon's *(My stepson's) sitter picked him
up and took him for the day as my wife was on a two week vacation to
Tennessee. I was still flat on my back, feeling good but not wanting
to move, so I said bye and they took off.
About 10:15 I woke up freezing..not able to get warm. I got up as
best I could, put on sweatshirt and sweatpants, threw up a couple of
times, and went back to bed. Sitter called back checking on
something, determined I was in horrible shape and came and checked on
me. Insisted that she take me to urgent care. They started treating
me as a Flu (104 temp) but noticed a very extreme rash on my left leg.
After several hours of spiking and chilling (Fever would swing from
99 to 104 in under an hour) they started trying to find a place to get
me admitted. The got me into a bed at Sunrise Hospital where one of
the nurses quickly figured out that the problem was in my leg which
was the main source of the heat and proceeded to ice pack my upper
body to keep it cool and isolate the heat in my left leg. They've
been throwing antibiotics at it all week and have sent me home with a
PIC line in to run antibiotics into twice a day for the next two weeks
and home health nurses to attend to my leg which has blisters that are
refusing to open and drain!
Needless to say I am off work from my day job for at least another two
weeks...which doesn't thrill me a bit, though the folks at work are so
far being great about this. How good they can be, though I dunno.
American Sunrise, Wyatt's Favorite Radio, and our daily Commentary and Sports feeds are back to normal, though as of today (4/6) I am off work for yet another week at least.
All I know is, what a way to spend my vacation!
