The ALPB (Team Speak) meeting will be Friday, October 19, 2012 at 2300 GMT (7pm ET).
We will be reviewing the ALPB basic guidelines to finalize each section where possible.
Time permitting we need to discuss Web Page development and FTP site for content storage/access.
If you would like to join in and have not yet setup a Team Speak Client application, please contact Bob at [email protected] for information.
Mid-week right now, only a few days before the next Meeting, and I decided to get patriotic about the cause of Part 15 by bringing this reminder up to the top of the "Recent Posts".
If you have never used Team Speak before, I think you will get hooked right away and enjoy how convenient it is as a method for combining a group of people in real-time.
There is no phone bill.

A "private" room has been re-established at the ALPB Team Speak site for ALPB meetings.
The password has been sent to those members that have provided their email address.
If you have not received the password and would like to participate in the ALPB Team Speak meeting Friday, October 19, please email [email protected] . I will respond prior to the meeting.
You will be able to enter the "open" room without a password.
I want to join an participate in ALPB, but Friday meetings are out of the question for me b, mainly because of HS Sports coverage.
Hope I can at least listen to recordings and post comments at other times.
This was another long meeting. Much time has been devoted to addressing concerns regarding language of our Charter document.
I could almost see Thomas Jefferson and the group hammering out the US Constitution.
Most of the document as posted on Part15.us was accepted. Some language will be added and/or changed in a few areas.
A specification under MEMBERSHIP will detail action taken if a member fails to operate their station legally.
With regard to voting rights it was determined that a 2/3 majority vote will be required for all actions brought to the floor. The Chair will vote on all actions rather than only voting in case of a tie vote.
The item titled "Expulsion" will be re-titled "Violation of Agreement" and said violation can result in a suspension subject to a vote of the members. This is open ended whereby acceptance of an appeal would nullify the suspension.
Other topics discussed were Website development and FTP.
Lefty Gomez and Johny C will hammer out details. Johny C has agreed to host the ALPB website on his provider. Lefty will research obtaining the Domain name and cost.
The idea to use an FTP for file storage/retrieval brought up concerns regarding security. A possible alternative is for each station to have a space on the ALPB website. Members would submit their program files to the Web Master. The Web Master in turn would upload the file(s) to the website host and add links to that members page.
All in all another productive meeting. I will edit the Charter document, forward to the members in attendance for approval and post on Part15.us for viewing.
A big thank you for all the time and effort our group has put into the formation of ALPB.
And remember, you don't have to attend the Team Speak meeting to be considered an active member. Simply communicate with the Chairman to voice your concerns and stay informed regarding ALPB meetings.
