The next regular ALPB TeamSpeak meeting will be Saturday February 7th at 9:00 pm EST (0200 UTC Sunday.)
At the last meeting we had some very informative conversation.
Johny C of Rag-FM explained some of the features of ZaraRadio such as "sequence" and "rotation" file uses. He also provided access to an application which automates the creation of playlists. The application can produce playlists based on a variety of paramaters such as genre, date, artist, time, etc.
If you'd like to join in on the conversation, become a Member of The ALPB.
All it takes is to read over the Charter Document and if it is agreeable let me know. Then, download and install the FREE TEAMSPEAK CLIENT app. There are links to both at
We'd love to add you as a MEMBER STATION!

Part 15 radio broadcasting is the most sophisticated hobby in the world, just above model railroading and amateur surgery. But is it a dying art?
At times when forum activity slows to nothing it's easy to believe that no one is doing anything, but I'm happy to tell you that many low power radio stations are starting and operating all the time. Simple fact is that not everyone posts, at least not often, but they are out there.
Look at the fact that more part 15 kits and certified units keep adding to the total number of transmitters available.
Consider how some stations have managed to become serious businesses with ties to the commercial marketplace in their communities.
One effort to spread the word about the great part 15 hobby is the Low Power Hour, a radio program dedicated to informing people of their legal right to broadcast with no license required, and we're now preparing Program # 99.
We expect to produce a hundred more Low Power Hours and probably a hundred more after that.
Alongside this great website (part15.us) and the Low Power Hour we have the ALPB, the Association of Low Power Broadcasters, with a growing number of members carrying forward with radio projects.
Live it, promote it, and the future is ours!
ON THE AIR with ALPB.
Following two intensive weeks of experimentation I have assembeled a "Zara Kit" to accompany the Zara free software downloads available already from MRAM 1500 and the ALPB.
Full details of the several advancements added by my "Kit" will be disclosed at the forthcoming ALPB Meeting on Saturday, February 7th, but I'll tell you one bit of frosting that makes the cake...
I've made voice recordings of all the time breaks that give Zara the ability to announce Universal Time instead of local time. Although most stations will likely prefer to use local time breaks, this pack of "UTC Time Breaks" will become available to all ALPB Members along with the rest of the "Kit."
Be there.
