The next regular TeamSpeak meeting of The ALPB is this Saturday, July 5th at 9:00 pm EDT.
Last weekend was the Amateur Radio Field Day event. Individuals and Amateur Radio Clubs set up equipment to operate a simulated emergency. The purpose is to remain proficient under emergency conditions.
I setup my station in the backyard, running on generator with a portable vertical antenna. I was able to make contacts with stations all over the US to include Hawaii and Canada. I operated in the 10, 15 and 20 meter bands.
I mention this as some members have plans to build Part 15 transmitters for 13.560 mHz which even at very low power have a chance at skywave propagation just as the 20 meter Ham band.
As Part 15 operators who knows when under emergency conditions we may be the only stations on the broadcast bands.
See you at the meeting.

The ALPB Meeting is a place of great opportunity.
It is the place to present new ideas for improving low power radio so that we may better serve the audience.
There has been a lot of interest in prompting the FCC to open an LPAM service for power levels in the 10s or 100s of Watts, there's currently a petition for this objective.
This Saturday evening I will present a plan that may reveal the existence of an LPAM opportunity that already exists, except that nobody's thought of it.
Consider the fact that there are daytime only stations, always have been.
Some daytime stations have been granted nighttime authority with very low power, from 2 Watts to 20 Watts not unusual.
How about a nighttime only station, using only the low power portion of the licensed authority, with no daytime service?
Makes perfect sense. Comments are welcome here in the forum or at the Meeting.
Just a reminder for any new members, you must bring a plate. (this is an old Kiwi saying, if you are going to a party or meeting.) Bring a plate means bring a plate of food to share, not an empty plate. This "Protocol" lesson was brought to you by the Buns & Co Bakery, the only place to buy your apple cream donuts .
Johny has never missed a meeting and even leaves his plates behind.
The ALPB has accumulated a large plate collection, not to be confused with a collection plate.
Many of us remember plate current and plate modulation from the old tube days.
Only the ALPB can save us as the world careens through space trying to avoid burning up in the Sun's nuclear furnace.
I must remember to take them home, the cat is not happy because Im using her bowl for my beakfast in the morning.
