The next regular TeamSpeak meeting of The ALPB will be Saturday January 17th, 2015 at 9:00 pm Eastern (Sunday 0200 UTC.)
This time of year we don't have much business to discuss. But, the meeting after the meeting is usually very interesting.
It's always a good time talking with members about whats happening.
For those in the USA, stay warm. Its been pretty cold all around the country. For our members south of the equator, enjoy the warmth.
For everyone, see you at the meeting.

Dear ALPB Chairman, Members, and the entire part 15 community -
The ALPB Meetings are a wonderful place to open discussions on subjects related to good radio, and I look forward at this next meeting of opening a conversation about "program lengths."
Of course in the time leading up to the meeting anyone with a comment can post it right here so we can include it during the meeting.
My question starts with "The Low Power Hour," a 55-minute program, a time voted on awhile back at the request of stations that use automation to cut away for news and spots at 5-minutes before the hour.
But in the recently released Program # 98 some listeners said they had to listen to the show in small chunks because 55-minutes is longer than they can comfortably listen to a single program.
I also have the feeling during production that I need to find more and more small parts to reach the final total-time.
I am thinking that the length of the LPH should match the endurance of the average listener, whatever that is.
Right now I am wondering if 30-minutes or 40-minutes might work.
Over to you.
From years of teaching experience plus that of others I can offer some information on this. Join us at the meeting to hear about this.
Neil
Tonight's Meeting of the ALPB will contain several interesting topics...
We will learn the outcome of the telephone outage in Chairman MRAM's hometown there in Ohio.
Johny C. of RagFM intends to share his Zara experience for all the questions getting asked about it.
Radio8Z has experience to share about attention spans and the question from Worldround Radio about deciding on program lengths.
Beyond that we always talk about more than we expect and learn more than we know.
Join immediately.
