Oooops, did I mention we are having The ALPB TeamSpeak meeting Saturday August 16th at 9:00 pm EDT?

We went camping again and just got back when a quick look shows I have yet to announce the meeting.

We have a couple new members.  I hope they have been able to get TeamSpeak working so that we may talk with them.  Anyone having problems with TeamSpeak needs to let me or one of our members know.  We'd be glad to help you get it going.

That said, see or rather "hear" you at the meeting!

By now I think we have close to 30 members!

Wow!

We are almost a political party!

We don't drink tea.

We both conserve (save electricity with low power radio) and progress (improve radio with more members) which makes us conservative progressives!

During a recent meeting of the ALPB we talked about the words we use to describe our brand of Part 15 radio, such as "Legal and Unlicensed."

The problem is that declaring yourself "legal" opens the question of legality, which up until you mentioned it, was not being asked.

Worse yet is stating a negative as if it's a point of pride... "unlicensed" is like an atheist saying "ungod." If there is no god, why mention it? If there is no license, why mention it?

Perhaps a better way of describing ourselves is "FCC Part 15 Authorized."

Bring your thoughts to the ALPB.
