Alan McCall has been featured in numerous magazine and newspaper articles regarding his love of radio and his Part 15 endeavors.
More recently Alan has been busy building out an LPFM station after being granted an FCC Construction Permit.
Read all about it at TheALPB.com Brag Page.
Also, Jeff (Station8) has forwarded an LPB Tech Notes paper regarding Leaky Coax as an alternative to an antenna for Part 15 FM operation. You'll find it on the LPB page. Just visit TheALPB.com "More Links" page and look for the LPB link at the bottom of the list. Look in the "Supplements" list for the Leaky Coax link.

It is wonderful to hear about Allan McCall's building progress, keeping his part 15 station running while he constructs a licensed LPFM station for his Big D Country.
Not to overlook ALPB Chairman MRAM 1500 who also is constructing a licensed LPFM station for his city, while continuing a part 15 station and managing a TIS (Traffic Information Station).
When it comes to Jeff Station8, the work he's doing to consolidate all carrier current, leaky cable, and other part 15 information is greater than any part 15 project undertaken anytime in history.
Good to be in such company.
Join the ALPB and take part. Part 15.
It's hard to believe my Part 15 venture began back in July of 2003 when I put "The Country Giant" on the air in 2003. That was on 1160 AM, BUT had to run as a daytimer to be listenable. Moved to 1610 in 2007 with a Rangemaster, which allowed the station to operate full time.
My Talking House signal barely covers the property. Hopefully I can get an ATU at some point.
Building WDXD-LP is challenge enough at present.

A great Brag page on Alan. Catch you all at this weeks meeting of the ALPB.
This next ALPB Meeting will be an all nighter.
I insist.
