Is there a 24/7 progressive talk show, sort of like how Alex Jones always has a stream.

WHAR-AM 1620 is already airing Democracy Now, Global Community Radio, and The Young Turks.

How do you define "progressive talk?"

Your already airing GCNLive.. Well they have 86 more programs to choose from right there. Shouldn't be to difficult to compile 24 hour programing

Edit:

..Oh, my mistake, I confused your Global Community Radio with GCN (Genesis Communications Network)  http://gcnlive.com Give that a try, they carry Glen Beck and 85 others

and of note, from wikipedia: "Progressive talk radio is a talk radio format devoted to expressing liberal or progressive viewpoints of news and issues, as opposed to conservative talk radio."

Progressive talk never took off as a format, thus finding shows with a liberal lean is a bit difficult. Only other one I can think of off the top of my head is David Pakman.

Genesis would NOT be the network for that kind of programming, most of their programming is pretty conservative and libertarian. There are a few "natural" programs on there that I guess could be considered liberal.

Because there is no longer an outlet in my area for over-the-air progressive, liberal political programming, I mostly stream WCPT on my part 15 gig.  They air a daily series of news and talk for progressive listeners.  When I tire of that, I switch over to music programming.

"..Genesis would NOT be the network for that kind of programming.."

Ok, perhaps I have little clue really to what proressive and libertarian talk is.. But Atrain asked about programming similiar to Alex Jones -- And Alex Jones is a foundation program on the Genesis network, so... seems correct to assume most of the other 85 talk shows they carry would fall into a similiar catagory.

But that's all just a deductive assumption on my part.

I think he mentioned Alex Jones only becuase he is heard everywhere, and he wants a liberal talker that has the same reach. At least that is how I understood it.

Progressive Talk is one that favors liberal policies and the Democratic party, much like how traditional News Talk favors conservative policies and the Republican party.

The best example I can give is the former Air America radio network that ran from 2004 to 2010. Liberal leaning talk for whatever reason has never done very well in even the most liberal markets, that being said a few markets have a local liberal host that probably does well.

I said: "That's because many liberals are cheapskates and will not buy advertising to support these this type of programming. They expect something for nothing. Simply look at the Bernie supporters."
