Now you have to pay to get the FCC to review a complaint.

https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2018/07/fcc-limits-reviews-of-customer-complaints-claims-that-nothing-is-changing/

I wonder if this also applies to reports of pirate broadcasting.

Huh, amazing.

I guess you have to really want to complain badly enough to fork over $225

It mentions telecom companies but not pirates or interference. Guess there will be a lot less complaints now.

If it also applies to pirates it will be a boom for them as not to many people will bother. $225 is a lot.

Maybe it's a way of  easing the load of the 30,000 complaints they get a month even from people who think the commercials are too loud....is it worth $225 just for that. Can you imagine if the CRTC did this.

It's the new way to solve the pirate problem.  No one will complain, so the FCC can claim victory over the pirates.

unless the pirate is really causing interference.

It will stop quotes from just complaining because they can. Isn't that what the FCC is supposed to do is stop interference? But if there's no interference why bother?
