Claiming Ownership of a Community Organization
After 8-years of Member Ownership the ALPB is commandeered by one contributing member: "All of the resources to create and run The ALPB were provided by myself. The procurement of the domain name, a sustainable TeamSpeak server, the ALPB website, the ALPB forum were all obtained and developed by myself."
In similar fashion, after decades of maintaining and providing porch space for a mail box, I have taken ownership of the United States Post Office.
Let them feel free to pass them along over at ALPB; it was just an observation on my part.
Examples Please
Mr. Gamewell makes the claim "stop all infighting", but provides no examples of what he deems to be so-called "infighting".
Having been an active member of the group for 7-years I never observed fighting among members.
At the risk of being thought to instigate a "fight" with Gamewell, I point out that accusations have no heft unless supported by examples.

I don't know if there's anything to argue about the ALPB is all but a ghost group now. No one ever shows up in the TeamSpeak meetings nothing is really being done it's all but a ghost of what used to be called a group.
Personally and it's only my opinion in my observation but I wouldn't stress over it it's not worth the heartache and certainly not worth the possibility of having a stroke over it. Groups come groups go groups break-up groups form other groups it's just the way it is not much anyone can do about it.
Even some of the Facebook radio groups done very well for a while but then they break off into splinters of other groups I don't know why it's that way but it just is. Maybe it's just because there's too many arguments over LGL`s who knows and who can only guess.
Springtime is coming I know I'm going to work on my radio station along with my friends who are helping me and I'm sure many others are going to be doing the same thing. We'll see where this goes in the future is there is much of a future for the ALPB.
Personally I don't think the ALPB ever really got off the ground at all.. I was never really a participant of it but did participate in the forums. You call it a ghost of what "it was".. not sure if you meant the group or the forum itself.
I think there is still hope for it, as well as the newly renamed forum which has taken the place of what once was it's associated forum (as long as they don't decide to eliminate it completely.
As far as Gamewells comment that they need to"“clean up” their act, stop all infighting, strengthen your mission statement".. again not sure if your referring to the organization or the aforementioned forum, but assume you were referring to the forum because you posted your comment right after I had had a kind of argument with R Fry there.. and we were the only thread with any participation going on at all. Well believe me, that kind of thing goes on here, and any forum be it part 15 or otherwise, and always will.
Disagreements come and go.. You can say such is dysfunctional, but to be honest I can not think of anything at all on earth that is not dysfunctional.
Anyway, I don't think the ALPB is defunct, I more think they never began.

That's a fact whether one wants to believe it or not.
Arthur Schopenhauer, the "Philosopher of Pessimism", believed that humans pursue a happiness they never actually find. He argued that people have every right to take their own lives.
Frederich Nietzsche saw no point in so many people and advised that more of them should volunteer to die.
Albert Camus, "Philosopher of the Absurd", believed both life and death were absurd and neither one of them would prove better than the other.
Our own philosopher, myself, believes the universe is highly over-stated and proves nothing by being so impressive.
