Jim Henry, our friend on this forum and the Chairman of the ALPB has passed away according to the obituary linked below.  Bob, MRAM, tried to contact the family to confirm that this is our Jim Henry without success, but from the obit it appears it is he.  We know he was a meat cutter, worked for Comcast, and was active in Part 15 radio, all of which are mentioned in the obituary so it is almost certain that this is our Jim.  Godspeed to our friend.

Sad news, 67 is much too young as it's just the beginning of retirement.

Life is just not fair.

Dark News

Jim had visions for the ALPB but ran out of time before he could carry them out.

The way he went about building Honeybrook Radio was inspiring and these part 15 forums were useful for helping him learn "on the job".

Jim was a great gentleman and is very much missed.

What I See

Mark, even though you are over there in Canada, you have shown over the past time that you are a solid person with definite points of view.

Maybe you could be the leader of the ALPB in the future.

If you chose to do so, I would consider returning as a member.

Well, thanks Carl, but I don't know about being the leader of the ALPB. I wouldn't have any agenda or know how to conduct meetings. I don't even know how to participate in them. A moderator, possible, but really I'm a contributor, I don't make the rules. It's not my forum.

I never knew you weren't a member there any more.

James Henry On YouTube

While searching for something else on YouTube I happened upon years worth of activity posted by James (Jim) Henry, lately of Honeybrook, Pennsylvania.

I didn't realize he had an interest in live-aboard RV an Van life... In recent years I've become very interested in the Tiny House on wheels movement. I really want to build one and am rolling ideas over in my head of design quite frequently.. Not particularly cheap though, just the trailer alone would be 6 to 8 thousand, but that's really the biggest hurdle, the main framing structure wouldn't be much and the rest could be gradual. I want mine to be 20 feet or less, and would even have a tiny broadcast station!

Cheers to Jim Henry
