I will be switching from Zara to Salamandra after downloading and giving it a try in my nonbroadcasting computer. Can easily be switched from back up to another computer not needing to go online, it's yours, and the zip file opener opens the zip file easily. I downloaded Expresszip as it's free(winzip is pay only) and can be backed up for any computer to open the Salamandra set up file.
What sold me was the fact that even though very similar to Zara the silence detector actually works, making tracks go seemlessly gap free unlike Zara. More like Play It Live in that respect. No dead air between songs and jingles. No need to edit thousands of tracks! Now sounds truly like a commercial station.
Many thanks to Johny C for telling us about this and helping me with it.
Salamandra Radio Automation has plenty of YouTube entries, but good luck finding one in English.
Here's some tutorials in English, Quite a few functions here.
That's very good.
I now see how much Salamandra resembles Zara.
