Doing the same thing!
I think the Decade would cover 1 or 2 floors.
Great video, Druid Hills! Loved hearing about the retirement home station.
Early on, LPB (Low Power Broadcast Comany), makers of carrier current equipment, printed a sales sheet about installing radio in retirement centers. One of these days I'll scan and post a copy of it for you.
There are so many places that low power radio could do wonders, but the transmitter makers have not had the resources to send sales teams into the world to make the rounds.
Despite its enormous potential, even the ALPB is unable to spread the word about low power radio because all the members operate stations and have no spare time.
Perhaps we could go door to door in our own neighborhoods with transmitter demonstrations.
Didn't Part 15 Entineer talk about this at an ALPB meeting?
I wonder how his project went? Carrier current would work great for this too since in many areas FM is so congested. However on AM there is more room to easily advertise the station to the other members of the community.
TheLegacy recalls: "Didn't Part 15 Engineer talk about this at an ALPB meeting?"
Yes, he did! I forgot, thanks for remembering.
As I am now reminded Part15 Engineer is already transmitting his station in a retirement facility!
Maybe he'll be stopping by with details!
