From indoors. 22 gauge wire 3 meters exactly/no ground lead, antenna clipped to antenna post.
My house is marked.
Also experimented with different configurations of the wire on the wall and found that just having it straight isn't best. looping it or trying shapes affects how well it works.
The lines indicate where signal is weak but still can listened to. Being right on frequency with counter to at least 6 digits helps at night.
