How the Founders of Broke Records Turned YouTube Savvy Into Streaming Hits

Started with this 15 year old kid remixing youtube videos until something went viral and eventually spawned into a lucrative business. Around that time a buddy of his got in on the wheel with him and it kept on turning.. The kid was talking about how it was his own obsessive nature that made it all happen...

I was at least halfway through the article and the screen kind of flashed and suddenly I was back at the first paragraph and stopped short with a plea to subscribe to continue reading...

When did Billboard articles begin reverting to behind a paywall?

I think the only reason I was able to read as far into the article as I was, is because my internet has been iffy today - and slow. So it took it a lot longer to load whatever it was that recognized I was not a subscriber.

I've actually been able to save full articles by downloading the page from behind paywalls and reading it offline before, but I'm only able to do that when my high speed minute run out on my internet.
