If it isn't entirely too burdensome for new members, or new-ish and about to log on again in a blue moon, I have a suggestion.
Let us have new users introduce themselves and say why their interested in the site/hobby.
Stick the introductions into Everything Else.
Not a bad Idea. Like that in other groups. But first there has to be new users. We have basically 3 regulars posting here and one posting the most. It's hard trying to think of new topics to post. I think when I see all the hundreds of registered members there are here why it is that only 2 or 3 actually are active. One reason I think is everything's been talked about and like me there's only so many new topics that can be thought of without rehashing something talked about whether 3 months ago or 6 years ago.
Yeah, well any new users are already able to introduce themselves and why they entered the hobby, or where they are, or what frequency they broadcast, genre, etc... All members have their own "About me" page here. But it appears the majority generally prefer not to provide any such information info, and if they do it just consist of one line, if anything at all.
But I agree, it'd be nice to know more about our members... Wherever they may be ..
