So I've stumbled (of sorts) across an broadcast technician opportunity. I will be examining the details over the next several months with Trans World Radio (TWR) and their broadcasts (on what I believe) is short wave across the Caribbean. Today I did an initial interview with them.
Their signal targets Cuba, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela. I believe it can also be heard in Miami, FL, USA.
The station is located in Bonaire, formerly part of the Dutch Antilles. It is not too far off the coast of Venezuela at about 50 NM. Yes, I would have to live there; at least 3 years.
I have traveled the Caribbean extensively and I can attest the weather does not suck in Bonaire.
Wish me well as I explore this!
Wishing you good luck.
Sounds exciting. I've never even been outside the states. Best of luck with your venture.
