Dont let the fact that this comes from a "biblical truth" site throw you, this "World News Radio" headline newscast I listened to today carrys no such slant, and sounds professional.
Each newscast is three minutes long, with three different episodes every day. I saw someone on a part15 facebook thread say that he uses it and it's free, so I went up check it out. It is free.. but I see nothing one way or the other it specifically granting permission to broadcast, nor have I actually tried th o contact them yet. (but I lay odds it is).
But they do sound like a perfect headline newscast, no doubt. Downloadable and updated daily. Check it out:

I spoke too quick. I did listen to all 3 today and a few from the archives, but never even noticed that every episode closes with the phrase "sound journalism, grounded in facts and Biblical truth".. - I didn't even notice it till just now! Oh well, it's not a deal breaker for me, it's still an excellent production.
For example: This one was today's midday broadcast:
Sounds as if it is slanted towards one direction...I'll have to listen to more of them to make certain my observation from one is accurate...Then I'll decide if it I want to use it...
@wefr I don't know, maybe I'm just ignorant of slants.. When it comes to newscast I kind of just hear the headlines in passing.. I'm not particularly politically minded at all, I generally think it's all bull** wordplay that doesn't really show a genuine representation of the true nature of what's being reported.- that's goes for both sides.
With the above headlines cast, that's all I heard, headlines. I didnt notice any subtle "commentary takes" embedded within it.
What did you perceive as suspect that I missed?
On second thought.. Maybe it's better not to get into it.. politics is a nasty thing. But honestly, I noticed no slant one way or the other in the World News Broadcast -- but I'm sure its reasonable to to assume some kind of slant hides within.
It's a no-win situation isnt it? Mark probably has the best idea with simply keeping his broadcast clear of it and not airing any newscast at all.
Yeah. Mark's idea is best. No chance of unintentionally pissing anybody off. I realize now that Including a newscast is apparently a risky thing to do.
@richpowers Why I am hesitant to answer...We don't need that between members...I think We all know news and politics run hand in glove...
'Biblical Truth' is a glue spill. It's sticky because no one agrees on what that means. If applied to a newscast it can only mean that the news is being tampered with.
Just like the U.S.Constitution calls for separation of church (religion) and state (government), pure news would require separation of news and religion, unless of course a news story happened to be about a religious event, like 'The Pope calls for peace'.
True news asks 'What happened; where did it happen; who did it; and what's being done about it'.
The operative word is 'secular'. Secular means 'not religious'.
@richardpowers Atheistic scholars insist that atheism is not a religion. They say that atheism is the absence of religion. I am not so sure. Both atheism and religion are 'belief systems'. I think part of your point is that atheists could contaminate the news the same way religionists might do, and indeed that could happen.
@richardpowers We have talked about religion and atheism as 'belief systems' and I will add another belief to our discussion: flat earthers, people who believe the earth is flat. If a flat earther was a news reporter, he would likely write all his news stories with an assumption that the earth was flat. Maybe humans are not able to keep their prejudices out of their work.
@richardpowers Atheistic scholars insist that atheism is not a religion.
The supreme court says atheism is a religion, and they must be right because they're supreme.
And Carl, the earth is most certainly flat or we'd just roll off
Between The Pew and the Bar
Did that at suno.com, I would have clipped off the very last second but ran out of free credits
@richardpowers 'Between the Pew and a Bar' is a world class masterpiece and proves that song writers are the supreme beings.

@carl-blare It was a bitch to get a rendition that worked well, but finally came up with a couple that worked. I settled for this version because it was easiest to understand the lyrics.
Along the same subject, I notice whenever I try a blues song it has the tendency of changing and even omitting verses! This only seems to happen with the blues.
For example, in this one a verse that said: "It takes but a look at you, to send my head into the skies." It changed to: "send my head into the river", and another chsnged it to: "you turn my head into low highs".
And in in another version it totally mangled most of the song completely and actually inserted the line "can I pinch your ass" which was nowhere in what I wrote. Nevertheless, I really liked the version because it was the only one which actually produced it to sound like it was in a nightclub, which is what I had been aiming for all along. I actually ran it through about a dozen times (at least) before I was satisfied.
I liked these two the best, both
the same song. By the way, you wrote the first line:
