Artisan Radio had studios on Bowen Island for several years in the early 2000's. During that time, we produced many different types of shows, several of which were continued on into the 2010's when we relocated to Pitt Meadows.
One of those was called Slightly Bent. In this show, we played quirky, goofy, and somewhat strange music. Our currently running Surfin' The New Wave show (repeated tomorrow, that is Sunday, at 3PM Pacific), which is comprised of similar music from the 1980s, has inspired me to restart this show.
Surfin' The New Wave will continue next week (our theme will be 12 inch/extended mixes) but after that it will be replaced, at least temporarily, by the new (and hopefully improved) Slightly Bent.
I'll probably mine the older shows for material (there were literally hundreds of shows created), as well as new stuff from our extensive music library.
Thursdays at 5PM, repeated Saturdays and Sundays at 3PM (all times Pacific).
And for those fans of New Wave music, you can continue to hear it 10PM to 6PM. We will be adding some spoken word book readings during this time slot at some point in the future, but will fill up the remaining time with this music.
Unfortunately, there's been a delay in producing the Slightly Bent shows, so Surfin' The New Wave will be on the schedule for a few more weeks.
