How may songs to you have in your playlists? Of those songs how many are in rotation?
I have 2,195 songs and 1,115(in total) station Id's, jingles, and Chickenman episodes all in the rotation in random play.

I would estimate that I have around 2,300 songs on my hard drive. They encompass various genres, from the mid 70s to today. 🙂
Main playlist 23,882 tracks
Radio Program 1578 programs they are a min of 2hrs long each
DJ Mixes 342 mixes these mixes are 1 to 4 hrs long
Totoal 387gb like 85% to 90% is 160kbps
The main playlist I just radmonize all the tracks into a big playlist then radio programs are scheduled at diffrent times. It takes like 10 to 13 weeks to play every track in the main playlist once.
In my neighborhood on the Icecast Directory there are 22,000 streaming stations all playing continuous pop music playlists 24-hours a day.
Mine is mainly a talk station so the playlist contains tens of thousands of talk program every year.
Sometimes for fun I repeat the same 30-second PSA for 12-straight hours.
The shortest playlist possible would be about 1-syllable long, like "1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, all day every day.
I just cleaned up the hard drive Phat Beats Radio uses I now have 73gb more space for more tracks and radio programs.
Just added 11775 tracks 80s and 90s Rap and R&B to the main playlist the playlist now has 36431 tracks for a total of 181gb and I updated the playlist on the station web site. No more big updates to the playlist I am done adding albums.
Man! I thought I had a large playlist.

I am guessing 12 to 14 weekes I play radio program every day so 14 maybe 15 weeks
