Just played The Most Dangerous game last night on Artisan Radio.
"Orson Welles Suspense Episodes"
I saw this site as Artisan told me about it. William Spier was the creator and original producer. I downloaded my playlist of these with the pay version of youtube downloader and from a playlist of 950 or so episodes and it took a whole day for the downloads. I wonder if the download speed from this site is at all fast enough as for 900 plus episodes it takes a long time even with the super speed of the youtube downloader.
All these are decent audio quality whether from here or Youtube and they are public domain if worried about copyright. I also want CBS Radio Mystery Theatre but on a good many the audio is bad and muffled. A lot of episodes taken from the radio have news and other stuff and times can range from 42 to 60 minutes when all this other stuff is there. Hard to program like that and I would have to go through them all and weed out the ones with bad audio and news and commercials and that would take much trouble with 900+. Or else I'd have to download them one at a time and to get 900 of them doing a sample of each one would take months doing a bit a day. I listen from youtube or here from the computer laying in bed though. For now on my station I'll stick to Suspense and add the radio version of Gunsmoke which is here also and maybe Our Miss Brooks. Most of all these radio dramas were 1/2 hour and easy to program. The CBS Radio Mystery Theater was the only one that was different and had various running times between 40 to 50 minutes not including news and other stuff, even station ID from the radio station it was recorded from which is what makes it difficult along with the bad audio in a lot.
Here's the 911 episode playlist(Suspense) from this site. Almost the whole series.
