At least I expect it to be there. Looks like last week there was some sort of mysterious interweb delay in every station being able to download the newest show right away.
I'm told that this is a sip server thing, and something to do with the trickle down of the data to various backbones and servers, and blah blah blah. It's mostly all Greek to me.
When I upload the new show, the old show gets it's file name changed and it is moved to a different spot on the server and should, at that moment, no longer be accessible.
But apparently remnants of data and code and memory and stuff hang on to it for a bit longer throughout the web (heck, I completely don't understand it all). I never send
out this update until the new show has been uploaded, the old show moved to the archive and renamed, and I confirm that I can download the new show from the usual link.
I have a few ideas to insure this doesn't happen again, but lets see if this becomes an issue. If you had trouble last week and didn't let me know, let me know!
I know there are other ways to distribute the show, but this works out well for those stations that have station automation that automatically download the show every week
because the link remains constant every week.
We'll have to see what needs to be done! I try to make it reliable and simple for everyone. Darn technology anyway!
