KDX Worldround Radio carries "Freetalk Live" everynight, and just noticed a new addition to their line-up, an independent newscast called "The Liberty Beat". It was well done and seemed to present stories from a balanced point of view.
Your review of this newscast will help us know if it is suitable for our stations.
Hey that wasn't half bad, there are only a handful of other newscast available for part 15 stations, I did not see anything detailing rights to broadcast (although I did get inpatient for the pages to load while looking for it so maybe I missed it).
Apparently foul language laws don't apply to domain names, but the newscast itself sounds fine.
Hello, I am glad my account is working to be able to contact you finally. We have gone through a slight branding change, and the news aspect of the SNLS Network is now working off of the domain snls.news correctly. No longer will you see the word 'shit' via the isolated domains used to access our sub-brands. Currently, the new domain structure is www.snlsnetwork.com, www.snls.news and www.somenextlevelpodcasts.com. While somenextlevelshit.com is now a multi-domain mask of snlsnetwork.com as an inside joke alternate to the brand now. We are currently drafting our licensing / rights to broadcast info, it should be available by this coming Tuesday. I look forward to talking to you both and will get back to you shortly.

Smooth Running
I'm pleased to welcome Mr. Neil Radimaker to the forum, as my station continues daily to carry The Liberty Beat Newscast.
As of the moment KDX Worldround Radio, founded in 2007, is the only news-talk station active on the forum, but many of the music stations carry newscasts and may find Liberty Beat to their liking.
As everyone knows the sensitivity about certain words is brought about by the FCC prohibition against particular words which is ridiculously inconsistent.
For example, the S___ word is banned while "crap" can be said all day, and the F___ word is extra-bad while we can talk about "having sex".
I'll say again that The Liberty Beat is professionally done and KDX welcomes it to the mix.
I agree with everything Carl said, except for whatever he said about the "crap" legalities, because I don't understand what he said. Also, yeah, the greatest majority of part15 are music stations, but my impression most all of them regularly air newscast as well. But I do agree with Carl that the shows are professionally done and in his welcoming you to the forum.
Am I confused or didn't I listen to some 'SLNS News' in the last few days besides the 'Liberty Beat' newscast I'm finding now?
Neil, I wasn't offended by the somenextlevelshit.com domain, in fact thought it was memorable. I wouldn't have changed it (in case you got a different impression from my previous post).
Crap Talk
Rich Powers seeks crap legalities: "I agree with everything Carl said, except for whatever he said about the “crap” legalities, because I don’t understand what he said."
Easy to explain. We all know that we can't say the actual S___-word on radio. But we can say "crap", in fact people say it all the time on radio. We hear it everyday.
Are we good?
Ok, this is what we are going with...

Again... Were they not announced as ‘SLNS News’ previously? .."This is SLNS News..." I guess it was the identical newscast but the name SLNS News makes its less obviously slanted than the name Liberty Beat does.
The show is "The Liberty Beat" and it is on the SNLS Network, we produce the show on our network and for other networks to use. We launched a new domain called www.libertybeat.news which is also found on www.snls.news.
Ways of Delivery
KDX carries Free Talk Live 6-nights a week and the Liberty Beat News comes to us as part of that.
Could you share with us how many people that reaches within how you have it set up?
We can get Ian's #'s from him. but wondering how many it reaches with your efforts?
KDX and Its Audience
Neil wonders: "Could you share with us how many people that reaches within how you have it set up?"
I'll share the raw facts, Neil.
KDX exists mainly to provide myself with good radio programs tailored to my taste for listening in the house and yard from low power transmitters that are not known to have listeners other than myself, although several households are within reach but they are not aware that I am broadcasting.
I stream as a novelty because I find it fascinating to know that anyone on earth could listen. The streaming station is KDX-OGG which can be connected from the Icecast server on my website at kdxradio.com, or from the directories dir.xiph.org and steamcast.com.
Two regular connections are made from IP addresses in Michigan and Indiana from people I don't know, otherwise very few people ever listen to the stream.
The two directories list mainly music stations and very few news talk stations, of which KDX-OGG is the most mature and intelligent of the choices. What I mean is that the others are biased toward right-wing hate radio or religious regurgitation.
It is not important to me to build an audience, the main thing is that I have something worthwhile to hear.
The radio stations in my local area are enormously dull, being mostly religion and sports. Today I was listening in the car to a talk show where they were talking about "peeing in the shower". I suppose if you're 8-years old that might be fun to hear about, but it wasn't useful for me to hear it.
Not at all, we were actually doing the rebranding as we expand. Some Next Level Shit is still there. We do have plans for it still, but the new domain www.snlsnetwork.com is a clone of www.somenextlevelshit.com in which SNLS stands for the obvious if you know the inside joke of everything. Both brands run side by side, but it also gives our content creators the opportunity to choose the G-rated name version or the PG-13 name version of our brand. For example, our friend Danilo who does the show "peaceful anarchism is big on peaceful parenting and he and his wife mind their words much and for the audiences they appeal and market to. I personally like the in your face version better. but I like giving options. and I don't want it to stop people from using our more mainstream usable content.
