We have another great week of programming coming up.
Of course, we continue to carry Billboard Hits (and Misses, i.e., Lost Jukebox) from the 1950s to the 1970s, Vintage Jazz from the 1920s to the 1950s, as well as New Wave music primarily from the 1980s. All voice tracked.
We're starting to carry member timinBovey's Oompah Hour, starting today at Noon Pacific (3PM Eastern), Monday through Friday. A new show every day. Thanks to Tim for doing these, they're a lot of fun.
Also, during our 5PM Pacific (8PM Eastern) DJ time slot, we'll have the following:
- Monday - Wilson Beach Radio. Summer special. Music from the Beach Boys, Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Celebration, The Rip Chords, Bruce & Terry, and more.
- Tuesday - Teenage Dreams. Boys (as seen through the eyes of girls). Music from Joanie Sommers, Cathy Carr, Shelley Fabares, Tuesday Weld, and lots more.
- Wednesday - Beautiful Sounds. Easy listening, middle-of-the-road, soft rock and beautiful instrumentals by Neil Diamond, John Denver, Burt Bacharach, Olivia Newton-John and more.
- Thursday - Surfin' The New Wave. Girls Girls Girls! All female solo and groups, including Josie Cotton, Danielle Dax, The Runaways, The Go-Go's and more.
- Friday - Rock Around The Rockpile. The U.S. Hits special with Top 40 and album hits by Rockpile, Dave Edmunds, Nick Lowe, Dire Straits and more.
These shows are repeated Saturdays and Sundays at 9AM, 11AM, 1PM, 3PM and 5PM Pacific respectively.
We also play Sherlock Holmes OTR at 9PM Pacific (Midnight Eastern) Monday through Friday, and VOA news at the top of each hour.
