I'd known of this records existance for a while, but had never heard it.  Despite having over 40,000 records, with a focus on oddballs and Christmas records, I never scored this one.  Until this week.  Ran into a large lot of Christmas 45's on eBay and this was among them, so I grabbed the lot.

Story goes that Herb Dodson is an alias.  He was a newsman who was asked by a friend to record these poes he had written.  Promised him advance royalties from the record company if he'd do it.  So to keep his newsman reputation intact he used the alias Herb Dodson.  This is from 1963.  I didn't bother to do any sound tweaking on the dub -- just a quick video.  Enjoy just in time for the holiday!

Thanks Tim, great number.  I'll have to put that on WCFI-LP on Christmas Eve.
