This is a unix shell script I wrote which dumps/decodes the ZaraRadio event backup files (ending in .evt). It outputs human-readable text and can also format the output as HTML. I've tested it with Zara .evt files from free version 1.62, it probably works with most versions. The need for this? Not huge, but handy if you want to publish your event schedule to a web page. Also if you have multiple people editing the stations events, you could easily publish this after each edit so everyone can see the updated schedule. I'm interested in bug reports if anyone messes with it. Thanks!

Hello dosman!
Thanks for this post.
Though it is rather old, in internet forum-terms (over 2 years), I've found it somewhat usuful, as I need a tool for automatic conversion of ZaraRadio event-files to a broadcasting-schedule table in HTML format.
This is a Unix script (which I'm not familiar with), and I need such a solution coded for Windows in .NET environment.
Could you please describe the format of these .evt files or send me a link to such?
Thanks much,
Yan
My domain has changed so the download URL is no longer valid (thanks DynDNS). Also I get "Access Denied" when I attempt to edit my original post. That withstanding, here is the new URL:

In response to the other post, the script itself actually documents the format of the EVT file, just take a look and it will explain all the fields for you.
Thanks!
Wow dosman.. I was trying to remember where I had seen that program that took text from a source (like gas prices, movie showing, weather etc.) and converted it to spoken word and incorperated it to air, but couldn't even recall what it was called.. It's from your site!

I've been wanting to look that over again. Glad you posted
