Several months ago someone had posted a picture on facebook showing off a package of some device they had just bought.. it had been taken in a parking lot and he was holding the device up - I forget what the device was, but in the picture you see a Radio Shack store in the shopping plaza, and that was what everybody responded to, because they like myself were surprised to see a brick and mortar store. I didnt comment, dont really do facebook, Ibwas just looking around. But it did influence me to run a search that revealed there were still about 50 privately owned (franchise) Radio Shack brick and mortar stores that never had closed and still in operation. I could have sworn I posted both the picture and that information here, but I guess I never did.
I visited a pharmacy in Panguitch, UT 2 or 3 years ago. It's a pharmacy and general store, with a Radio Shack - all under one roof.

I use newark.com because I sourced some dielectric materials from them over the years. Their website can be baffling, in my opinion. But if you want a bag of transistors they'll sell it to you. What's dangerous is that my business has an open account with them.
