At KDX we use TightVNC to control two computers from a single work station, but too often we find that the network connection had dropped out and it's necessary to re-enter the password and re-establish contact.
Is there a solution to this?
Go to your TightVNC server settings.
I run UltraVNC, pretty much the same; there's a reason I chose this rather than TightVNC but I forget right now. There was a reason, though, some restriction with TightVNC.
Anyway, in the UltraVNC server settings, it looks like there's a setting to get rid of the requirement for passwords, i.e., allow anonymous connections. There might be something in TightVNC to do the same.
That did the trick!
