Hi,
I am in need of a manual for the LPB model AM-5CL. This one differs from the manual on thealpb.org and some of the other places returned by a Google search. This is a Rev. C model with some kind of daughter board plugged in where the op amp ic should be by a ribbon cable. I'm assuming this is a limiter board of some kind. But it is not specified in the non CL manual. The exciter sounds great directly fed to my service monitor and makes 500mW PEP but when I run it through the 5W PA board it makes 4 to 5W PEP but sounds incredibly distorted unless I turn the power down to less than 1W PEP. I need the AM-5CL manual to troubleshoot this.
Thanks

You seem to be saying (unless I misunderstanding) that you own a transmitter which at some point had been modified by Reverend C. to include some kind of limiter board - right?
Which explains why it would not be in the LPB AM-5CL manual. -- What makes you think there would be an alternative LPBAM-5CL manual out there somewhere that does include the information of Rev Crysliss' modifications to the unit.??
Excuse me if I've misinterpreted you entirely, but that seems to be what your asking for; an alternate version of the official LPB AM-5CL manual?? - If that is what your seeking then it seems unlikely there's ever been any such thing. I would guess there's only been one version of the LPB AM-5CL manual.
The am5 manuals found with a Google search are not the CL manuals. I'm pretty sure this was modified by lpb. The manuals returned by a Google search are rev. B and older. This is a revision C with what I think is a limiter board. Hence the CL in the model number.
