We would like to thank everyone including Dosman, Wilcom Labs, Carl Blare, and Mighty1650. Thanks for your help in fixing the problem we were having with our liners and promos. As you advised, we appended
the files (~0.wma) and that fixed it. We are now a happy set of part
15ers. Again, thanks for your help.

No Problem, I'm always willing to lend helping hand, as are the fine folks of this board.
You've got questions, we've got answers!

Did it require a 2nd thread?

That's called being wasteful.

Would you rather have many short threads or a few long ones?

Either way there are plenty of digits to go around.

I sometimes tack onto old threads so I don't clutter the place with a new one, but then many times I do a new one so I don't need to go looking for an appropriate old one.

Also, a lot of threads meander so far into other topics that a new thread is the only way to get back on point.

What are the best rules of thread etiquette?

Calling something by another name or definition doesn't make it any better when it is not.

Anyway...eventually it will cause clutter and it always does. And if you think preventing short posts that are too redundant to threads already existing isnt that big of a deal..just wait till those added extra threads really do bury what your looking for!

"What are the best rules of thread etiquette?"

Use common sense and post responsibly...or get a designated poster. :p

Some of our part 15 messages to the world are difficult to match with an existing thread. Here is an example:

Last night I stayed up until 4 AM producing Low Power Hour No. 24, and it's almost ready to release. But that kind of "all-night fever" may be a symptom of some form of "moon madness" or something.

That makes me wonder if the whole part 15 life-style might be a "persistent delusion" in which we actually believe we are running radio stations serving a real audience.

But such thinking leads to deeper philosophic thoughts, such as the odd notion that "being listened to," regardless of station size, has a value.

This leads to the biggest question of all, "does advertising work?" If it does, then we get into the area of "mind control," which would apply if advertising alters people's choices and behaviors, and so on and so forth.

Existing thread? Or, new on?

Well organization plays a big role in things especially stuff like threads and posts.

Such as this one, which could be within the thread already created under the same title with the exception of 1 word, but same subject..and now venturing off into something totally different.

Ya advertising can be seen as a lure, mind melder shape shifter. So could misleading thread titles.

Well not to venture too far off this duplicate thread title...

This line of discussion about "threads" caused me to think of a Buddha-like or Confucius-said type wisdom:

Fabric is made from many threads.
