      One Basket
“Why not put that stuff here?”

Putting all the eggs into one basket is not only risky, but unwise for redundancy.

If one place goes down due to server issues or whatever, there is always the other that can act as a mirror source.

And besides that, what’s wrong with more than just one radio forum site and participating in both, or more?

There is really no reason to not expand one’s source for information. The more the better as it were.

“Robert, continue to keep us informed of what you do on other websites. We would otherwise never know about it, since we’re here on this website.”

Not knowing is only caused by one not stepping outside to realize the world is much larger, full of wonderful things. Having a variety also helps to expand one’s knowledge and experiences.

Besides, it’s not like your cheating on a girlfriend or wife or abandoning anything by participating or visiting another radio based site.

It’s one thing to have someone else attempt to build a wall around you to limit your world..but completely illogical and insane to be doing it to yourselves.

        That’s It Then
I am informed of being illogical and insane in my self imposed wall.

It’s not really the wall, it’s time. I spread my time over a certain number of things everyday, and then the day ends.

If there were more time I would be all over the internet popping in everywhere, but even as it is I am 400 years behind on my “To Do List”.

But I agree in principle that there should be more of good things, including more good part 15 sites on the web.

Our real problem is a shortage of part 15 station owners.

Life is a box of niches.

        Part 2

Also, I notice the same people on other part 15 forums, so what’s the point of going all over the place to talk to the same people?

          Free Advertising
“I notice the same people on other part 15 forums, so what’s the point of going all over the place to talk to the same people?”

Because others on those other forms where you find familiar names from another forum are spreading the word about their stations, ideas and learning from the others as the others are learning from them.

The point at that point isn’t about talking to the same people, its about talking to new people and creating a huge interlink between everyone.

The social media sites got it down pat..and is why businesses and organizations take advantage of that free ride advertising.

You might find that venturing beyond the box will require going back into a much larger box with all the new things you bring with you.

Why just be one brick in the wall with a tiny message when you can be the entire wall with a multitude of messages?

So..what now…is it a hobby..or something serious after all that hard work getting the magical mile and audio sound and programing format?

Let’s look at this way…being married to someone is nice, and keeps you in a single line.

Staying in one place is like the ball and chain keeping you anchored at the hip to the tiny brick in the huge wall.

Break on through to the other side!

          Dare if you care!

          Nothing ventured is nothing gained.

Keep the old, but never turn away from the new.

          Once bitten…twice shy.

          The more the merrier.

Life is like a box of chocolates, the box is never filled with just one.

The brain does have more than one cell.

Thought is the basis of all reality.

Reality is the result of one’s base.

          Got milk?

Why is it important to look both ways before crossing the street, why do people look both ways before crossing a one way street?

Why does a person flip from one ear to the other with a single phone?

Why are there two ears and two eyes and two hemispheres of the brain?

This one will surely make sense. There is a left, and a right.

          Two sides to every coin.

What goes up in one place always comes down in another.

One source of information is like always depending on one thing for everything..eventually you will never tell any difference between anything.

In thesis, there is always more than one reference.

In reality there is always the uncertainty principle.

          The good..the bad….and the ugly.

An orchestra is comprised of more than one instrument and player.

A choir consists of multiple voices in harmony.

Day turns to night and turns into day.

          Live long and propser.

          Peace..and long life.

Black and white is merely 256 shades of grey.

Color is the result from millions of different wavelengths.

            Many Balls of Wax
Of the many ideas put forward, I will respond to several…

I have long believed that polygamy would be a fine idea and the women would have each other as company while the man turns to his part 15 calling. I agree with RFB on that.

I would argue, however, that when confronted with a one way street, we are inclined to look in the direction of the arrow. That’s the wrong direction, and is best corrected by also looking the other way.

For all the social networking opportunities a small radio station needs a staff to carry on so many correspondencies. Rather than logging on to multiple websites the station owner needs to interview job candidates and write job descriptions for them.

Free food might change my mind.

I frankly find the whole thing fun.

            Manuals and Links
I have plenty of manuals, and I’d be willing to share them with BOTH libraries!

Trouble is my scanner is floating at anchor, unable to run because of technical business having to do with old USB and lack of SCSI support.

However, I am purchasing a SCSI card in one last effort to re-start the great full document sized scanner, to which I have pledged my everlasting loyalty.

Kneel down, act like prayer works, and I’ll let you know the outcome.
