ALPB MEETING 18 JANUARY 2013

January 12, 2013 by MRAM

The next ALPB TeamSpeak meeting will be Friday January 18, 2013 at 2400 GMT (6:00 pm EST.)

There has been some talk about changing the meeting time back to 7:00 pm EST. An email went out to all members requesting their thoughts on this. There has not been enough feedback to alter the meeting time so for now we’ll keep it as it is.

Hope to see you all at the meeting!

    Back Up Top
It’s one day before Meeting Time as I began wondering if there would be a Meeting, and this Meeting Notice has slipped way to the bottom of the Forum Topics so I almost missed it. But luckily I searched and of course everyone knows that things come to those we search. It’s a biblical thing.

      Meeting Time
      Isn’t 6 PM EST = 2300 GMT?

        Concur with Dr. Radio8Z
The posted time in the announcement from Chairman MRAM says–

“Friday January 18, 2013 at 2400 GMT (6:00 pm EST)”

But 2400 GMT is 7 PM EST.

I am sure that MRAM means 2300 GMT because he notes that the Meeting Time has not been changed, and was previously 2300 GMT.

The change from Daylight to Standard Time brought on a discussion about the many confusions given worldwide membership and the fact that when it’s Friday in The Homeland (formerly the US) it’s already Saturday morning in New Zealand.

I will be there at 2300 GMT. Coordinate your clocks.

KDX has a GMT/UTC Clock on this page

          My Bad…
Yes, we moved the meeting time several weeks ago due to Daylight Savings Time change from 7pm to 6pm EST to keep the GMT time the same at 2300. I got the GMT wrong this time.

But, at the January 18 meeting a decision was made to move the meeting time back to 7pm EST to make it a little easier for some of us to make the meeting.

Everyone has their own schedules in different time zones so it is a problem accommodating everyone.
