Common for FM stations to use reverb on their signal???

Posted on November 8, 2012

I’ve been tuning around, and have been noticing some stations employing reverb in their signals.

Noticeably, anyone in the Philly area, listen to talk station IQ 106.9 FM

There is a rich reverb on the signal.

Does this help make talk FM more listenable ?

I know AM stations used it all the time.

I guess it makes people feel like they are listening to the person speak in an auditorium??

Hope everyone is hanging in there!
