Michelle posted on Part 15 AM&FM Hobby Broadcasting yesterday during a meeting about Pirate Radio. As you Should know myself along with New Radio Revolution has been vocal about this since June 5, 2015 with flea based support outside The Initiave for 4 yrs. But our continued reality check on the now dying status of AM broadcasting as a way of g…[Read more]
Michelle Bradley was in a meeting with the FCC she discussed More Power on AM no ground lead restrictions in an effort to curb the need for Pirate Radio.
Talks with the FCC have been made about BETS-1 power in the USA. If legalized the Decade MS 100 BETS-1 here we come.
Looks like AM will be for Hobby Broadcasting. Let’s get on Facebook and c…[Read more]
It looks like the same radio that my broadcast engineer friend brought to test my station with. Funny thing was and I never thought this was possible but it beat my Tecsun-Pl-380 And PL-365 for picking up my station at the Deltaville Market. And what really floored me was this was without the Terk AM Advantage Loop. Again what floored me was the…[Read more]
Wow at least that one is a great performer. Now only if the Talking House’s new ATU does that well those folks will have no reason to worry either.
Knocking on wood I think my home made ATU is holding up nicely. But my engineer friend called a few days ago and told me when he has time he wants to see about taking down the old satellite dish s…[Read more]
Here’s another thing for designing a perfect transmitter and this is something my broadcast engineer did for me when I was using the Sean Cuthbert transmitter. What he did was make a remote control for the ATU. After several months of warm cool warm cool your capacitor is going to Need retuning. One can use a field strength meter and a remote…[Read more]
Bluetooth Audio receiving at the transmitter will END the issue with long audio cable acting as a raiding element and thus making a transmitter non compliant (Geez problem solved there.
Less power loss at the final does not mean the FCC will change the rules because your making the most out of 100 mW
Some folks really need to read Michelle…[Read more]
let me see if I understand what you’re saying. What you are suggesting is that somewhere there is no connection to the outer Shield of the coax right? Well if this were true you would have a lot of radiation coming from the output of the transmitter to the range extender but by the time it got to the extender to be tuned you would have lost a…[Read more]
As for any downside for having C-Quam AM Stereo on a perc 15 AM transmitter there are no downsides that I have experienced nor my broadcast engineer have experienced. Unlike the FM stereo signal when you get further away from it and the signal is weak and you get that terrible hiss you don’t get the noise with C-Quam AM stereo so broadcasting in…[Read more]
timinbovey: The range you mentioned is FAR greater than what I’ve observed with the ASMAX2 C-Quam AM Stereo transmitter my broadcast engineer friend put together for me. I can tell that my modulation is around 125% with the Sean Cuthbert audio processor. I use HARD compression meaning I keep it LOUD but not to the point of distortion es…[Read more]
AM Rado Legend I want to see what your tests show in Range. Its a system easily workable and one can easily put the Range Extender in a place with few obstructions and bury the coax if the need to. We need people like you who are willing to do the reports and or videos of the actual Range.
Time to Rejoice.
Oh and while I brought up Interference it would not hurt (If you know how to build or where to buy) a filter that goes from 1.8-7 to 10 Mhz. My broadcast engineer friend and I have tested the Talking House and saw plenty of harmonics going into the Ham band and SW bands almost as far as the fundamental frequency. I’ve mentioned this and still n…[Read more]
Well for years people thought the final stage of the transmitter meant the final transistor and that was what everyone was going by thus we saw waterproof transmitters with their audio or power lines going up a 20 Ft pole to the transmitter.
Talking Sign had an ATU/transmitter configuration whereas the transmitter was inside the house and the…[Read more]
I have had a good time listening to Russia on 40 meter ham around 7147. I heard it the other day my Tecsun Pl-365 and I will tell you that today is digital processing the side band does not have that weird sound of the drift of the clarifier. Once you get it locked in it stays locked in and sounds real good. On Side Band a lot of the noise that…[Read more]
W9LWA I saw you on The Initiative (The New Radio Revolution) and sent you the secret Elite Pasword so you can see some of the previous rough draft petitions we were working on.
At first it was FM but after finding this would never fly we switched gears to AM (Since its a dying band) and Short Wave looking for 2 miles at 40 dbuV to a Tecsun PL-380…[Read more]
I’m trying to study for my Ham License in case that did happen and because I’d at least like a 2 meter rig someday. But a Ham License is NO guarantee that some jerk won’t start fights, swear, jam. I called the FCC a few days ago on K9RSY because he was drunk and starting fights ad swearing and he took over 7200 Khz when a QSO is going on.
The l…[Read more]
