Barix boxes may be your best bet to get the audio to the 2nd transmitter.

As for Range in a Rural area with the Rangemasters each Rangemaster should get 1.5-2 Miles out. As far as a Talking House with the ATU you should get 1 1/2 miles with the ATU mounted outside 20 Ft up or way away from any obstacle but mounted lower so you can…[Read more]

If it wasn’t for the coronavirus I probably would have had the Decade MS-100 or the 800 and just turned it down to about 20. Which is what the broadcast vision runs at around 20 milliwatts.

I am curious to find out what the future of some of these transmitter manufacturers is going to be after the pandemic now.

I can agree with some of the article. I’d really like to take a good look at it.
It Does depend on the receiver and that is why I choose the Tecsun Radios as a reference. 2 friends of mine get 2 Miles on AM.
I spoke to Bill Baker of ISS about the iAM transmitter and range extender 2.5. I asked him because I was concerned about the posting about a 2500 foot range because I have talked to folks who had the older ATU which claimed they were getting one and a half to two miles easily with decent am radios where you didn’t have all sorts of electrical…[Read more]
I only see this as an opportunity for him to cash in on a bad situation such as this. If this is the case shame on him for doing that.
now the big question is since he’s going off subscriptions is he still going to require you to have to use a ISP given email address? if so that would be redundant because as a subscriber only I fail to see how…[Read more]
I was reading I’m one of these forms I can’t remember which one but there was a gentleman that had a Scosche FMFreq in his house connected to a cigarette lighter adapter to AC.
The gentleman also posted it on a forum on Facebook that was ran by Michelle Bradley I’ve already seen it. So I posed the question would that still be legal since the…[Read more]
hey part 15 engineer I heard that the broadcast vision FM transmitter is really clean on the spectrum analyzer. Plus I hear it has extremely good range. How much do you want for that because I don’t trust my whole house 3.0. you could email me about that.
You put that transmitter outside in a waterproof box on a pole 10-20 Ft and it would fly. FM loves to be open so I’m quite sure you’d get good coverage.
If you need to get audio up there you can use a Bluetooth receiver and transmitter set. There are some that have two antennas on them and they have a nice range of clear signal.
My stepson has a GF in Lebanon Tennessee. if I ever go down there to see my stepson and his girlfriend I will have to check out your station and see if I can pick it up.
May look into the Scotches if I have to move to another apartment somewhere else.
I’ll look for the one that has the 1/8 inch Jack on it though. Unless I could get a B…[Read more]

The reason I had posted it was because in the broadcasting full rum on Facebook there were several individuals who were in Broadcasting talking about some stations they had received while they were in different parts of the state.
Some of them didn’t go very far on the am broadcast band but also too they talked about some FM folks that were…[Read more]

Itchycoo Park however from what I see could be about acid. It seems about more than pot but still plenty of 60s and early 70s songs have some drug related material.

Every time I keep reading about Pirates (Usually stations running High Power without an FCC license and some part 15 operators) blaring uncensored offensive language Rap music on the airwaves it makes me want to throw a fit because it totally ruins any initiative that some of us Hobby Broadcasters like myself are desperately working towards and…[Read more]
Going Back To Certification Of FM Transmitters
This has been discussed several times in these forums and on HB that no Fully Assembled transmitter that does not bare a certification label and absent of being listed in the FCC database shall be sold in the USA. So again this could end up that the user of such a transmitter especially in an open…[Read more]
Second Look At Certification
I looked on Ebay for the Tuneit with the 3.5 mm jack on it. It was digital tuning and looks like it covers 88.1 and 99 frequencies past that. I don’t know if it uses .1 .3 .5 .7 and .9 or if it is in steps of .1 .2 .3 ect after the frequency. but there is something more important here.
I saw No part 15 Ce…[Read more]
you are pretty much right meal but I will tell you this much the FCC agent that I talked to did say under optimum conditions you can get up to a thousand feet legally. He also mentioned the decade ms100. He said he knew it went a thousand feet but would not bust anyone for using it because it had been certified and tested. so I think the…[Read more]
When I ran a Talking House 5 it would hum like a beast. When I had the Sean Cuthbert transmitter I didn’t get quite as much hum. Some places in my house I would but that was due to the wiring in the home. Now I run the ASMAX2 with a bench power supply and I did not get hardly any hum. 99.9% of my home is clear only a few places you hear hum.
Radio Survivor suggests possibilities for more power or relax of the antenna system rule for AM!!
I belong to several Facebook Radio forums and read what is posted all the time. AM Broadcasting is dying and this gives some room to forge ahead in some activist activity.
I do run C-Quam AM Stereo here in Deltaville, VA and post on the…[Read more]
MRAM you’re correct and I posted it up on Michelle Bradley’s Facebook forum. my broadcast engineer friend gave me the model number of the radio and we are going to start work on my radio station to do just that. I’m saving right now for the Kenwood car stereo the antenna and the case to put the stereo in and I’m going to have it so that I can use…[Read more]
I watched a 3 hr FCC video talking about why the NAB was concerned about Hobby Broadcasters and the excuse was Hobby Broadcasters do NOT broadcast emergency information when commercial stations do! Well my Broadcast Engineer friend has the perfect solution to NIP THIS ONE IN THE BUD FAST AND HARD!!
