Oh that would be funny!!
But the bay does go a 1/2 mile behind my house too and there is another marina that bay also is right next to the Galley sea food restaurant whereas people do have a Radio out there at times and some really do listen to Album Rock as I was in front doing a signal test and many folks were really interested in my signal…[Read more]
How very true. Because I can already tell you well I probably won’t go into it. The point is that you’re right about the ground lead rule.
I’m not about running gobs of power versus a good antenna that is sufficient. That’s another reason I’m thinking about putting my antenna and transmitter on a boat because you’re making it more efficient and…[Read more]
Darn right Mark me and Michelle could make things work but as I have stated before because of what OET (Office Of Engineering And Technology for those who don’t know what OET means as when Station 8 mentioned he has talked with the Office of Engineering And Technology at an ALPB meeting no one knew what he was talking about). Anyways back to…[Read more]
I’m not sure if a bay is salt water or not? I’m not sure if you can get to the ocean from Deltaville, VA. This is something I’ll have to research because yes I’m looking for some serious enhanced range. Just have to rethink how I’m gonna play this game ha ha.
This has been brought up before in another part 15 forum or thread but I’m thinking of doing it.
There are dry docked boats on the lakes and bays around Deltaville,VA. Water should vastly improve Range so I’m looking at putting a second C-Quam AM Stereo transmitter out on the water at Stingray Point Marina and using a tablet as a STL and the…[Read more]
All I can say is I’ve read what Keith from Rangemaster said 1-2 miles. Its also what the FCC agents told me when they visited me. They could not understand Why FM past the rules when legit AM part 15 would get me to that Deltaville market 1 and a quarter mile away (Less than 2) and Taylor’s which is the same distance the other direction. St…[Read more]
I don’t know if there’s anything to argue about the ALPB is all but a ghost group now. No one ever shows up in the TeamSpeak meetings nothing is really being done it’s all but a ghost of what used to be called a group.
Personally and it’s only my opinion in my observation but I wouldn’t stress over it it’s not worth the heartache and certainly…[Read more]
This is all interesting to me. The way I see it as described about medium wave broadcasting and obstructions is that the wave only follows the radials which from my understanding about Radio waves is that they are like thousands of imaginary lines in space. So if a structure blocks some of those waves which are like thousands of very tiny i…[Read more]
Well there was a gentleman who had a rangemaster any put it inside of a church steeple and he was able to get out to miles and I don’t think there was a ground.
The trick would be to take a talking sign or talking house or iAM transmitter inside that same church steeple and see what type of range increase or decrease there would be. It could be a…[Read more]
And there are antennas that you can make that don’t require a ground and work pretty well.
And as far as range goes I invite you to look at the red horse antenna on YouTube it has a coil at the top is all I’m going to say and this Santana got him 2 miles to a portable radio.
I’m still going to say it if you’re operating in a very large radio…[Read more]
If you are interested in an activist group that wants change and wants to set up a separate service for hobby broadcasting with some serious range of about 2 miles with a good strong signal you should check out the new radio Revolution.
We are a very strong Pro activist group for c-quam AM stereo and ways to…[Read more]
The Economy is not as good as it was when we were younger!
And if it were not for donations I would not be able to afford my AM set up. However one could set up an STL easily via Bluetooth Audio transmitters and receivers as I have. The Bluetooth sender/receiver pair I have does transmit quite far and is indeed Stereo and I didn’t have to pay 1…[Read more]
Some of you guys really need to go to the Facebook form called part 15 am and FM hobby Broadcasting. Michelle Bradley runs that form and she runs REC Net. I popped the question about kits in the 08 E63 Bulletin. She says nowhere has it been said that kids are 100% legal. The reason I brought this whole thing up was because of my C-Quam AM…[Read more]
A cop won’t be able to tell the difference from 100 mW or 1,000 Watt transmitter.
This is where we need to Unite. Get involved and let congress and the FCC know that the bill’s current language could cause harm to legally unlicensed part 15 AM stations in which many serve the public in rural areas. Its time to show the government that hobby b…[Read more]
If everyone doesn’t start to become an activist right now we all could be treading some Dangerous Waters.
The following text just came in today from Rec Net. We must stop the arguing and fighting and the Great Divide among the people in this community or we are going to lose it all.
Today, the house passed HR-583, The PIRATE Act. This bill…[Read more]
I still think Artisan won’t have any issues he could simulcast his station vie Stream and FM if he wants. In the USA you have StreamLicensing that does the reporting automatically. I don’t know if Live365 covers Canada or not I only know about the USA and that StreamLicensing does handle SOCAN for Canada.
A good solution for Icecast is P…[Read more]
Artisan I wish you the best of luck on your classical station. There are not that many of those kind of radio stations anymore and a lot of professors and people in my age group listen to classical music.
I remember when National Public Radio actually used to play that type of stuff. They also used to play Hearts and space which was a mixture of…[Read more]
