I was thinking, I suppose the Part 15 hobby is divided in to two general spheres; those that are in the hobby for the technical aspects, or those that are in it for the programming possibilities. Me, I’m definitely in the latter camp.

Thanks Mark. Forgot to say, I’m not in the USA, so your FCC restrictions don’t apply in this case.
You mention using a 3m wire for the mosquito. What type of wire would that be? Would 50 Ohm coax cable be considered as a ‘wire’?

Summary:
I have a Talking House V5. It is located on a high shelf in a shed – concrete slab walls with metal roof and wooden eaves. I drilled a whole through the wooden eaves, threaded the 3 metre wire and attached it to a bamboo pole. See image. I got limited coverage – 35 feet either direction maybe.
