Interesting conflict

Posted on February 28, 2008

Hamilton Rangemaster 1000 …… this unit as posted below brags about how legal it is ..then it encourages buyers to use it on 1710 AM ….. this is confusing if the law says 1705 is the limit … any ideas?

The features of the AM1000 are too numerous to fully cover:
The Legality!

Rest assured that you can operate under the law, and if there is a issue we will be there to help.

Most Part 15 transmitters do not even include 1710, some don’t include 1700, both typically very quiet frequencies.

Of course, no FCC license required.

Not a kit, fully assembled. (It is illegal to sell transmitters without being certified).

The AM1000 AM transmitter is certified by the FCC (FCC certification number NWXAM1000) and is fully legal.

This is confusing.
